The Eastern Front, Dark Ambient, Noise, Neo-Folk, Occult, Czech Republic; (2005) Limited Numbered CD - Ex Used condition
A great deal of mysteries revolve around the historical figure of Count Alessandro di Cagliostro (1743-1795); from his questioned identity as a charlatan called Joseph Balsam (or is it Giuseppe Balsamo?), to the unknown information about the “Egyptian Rites” Freemasonry (and Freemasonry in general) and the rituals it is said to include which are inspired by the ancient Egyptian culture. This album seems to be a tribute to his colorful life in the form of dark ambient with noise, narrated samples and some folk music; just the kind of album you’d want to research about. The album seems like a journey through Cagliostro’s life (or is it his attempt for an afterlife?) There is much to investigate here, and the deeper you go the less you’ll understand. It’s hard to find information about this act, since it’s an unknown debut album, so all I can say is that someone called Stephan V. Friedman wrote the lyrics and music and that there is a limited amount of copies.

Dominick "Vatican Shadow" Fernow presents veiled techno producer Violet Poison on his Bed Of Nails imprint with the spectral industrial gloom of 'Awakening Messiah'. To date Violet Poison is best known as the mysterious accomplice of Shaped Noise in their Violetshaped alias - but here he strikes solo, transmitting four cuts of steely, night-stalking cyberpunk driven by sputtering techno engines through intensely bleak synth interzones. Like Black Rain or Vatican Shadow, it's a chilling exercise in transposing techno from pure dancefloor functionality into the nether realms of sonic fiction, maintaining an unbroken mise-en-scene from the aerial autobahn motion of 'Aenigma Messiah' strafed with speeding synths and steady motorik rumble, or encroaching gangs of destitute, bloodthirsty robots in 'Babylon Suicide' and implanting fake memories of misadventure in the PTSD-triggering atmospheres of 'Osiris Antichrist'. It's manna for the shadow dwellers….

John Fahey, Autobiography, American Primitive, Avant Garde; Paperback Book - Ex Used condition
A collection of fictional but semi-autobiographical stories, this work comes from one of the most influential guitarists in music history. The tales are recalled in a conversational, feverish tone, following the musician in his childhood and young adulthood in post-World War II suburbia, pausing along the way for moments of clarity and introspection. The stories resist categorization—part memoir, part personal essay, part fiction, and part manifesto they simply stand alone, having their own logic, religious dogma, and mythological history.
The Necks, Australia, Soundtrack, Film Score, Jazz, Improv, Haunting; CD Digipak - Ex Used condition
The Necks ominously haunting soundtrack to Rowan Woods 1998 film 'The Boys' is as downright uncomfortable as the film itself. This is about as emotive as film soundtrack music gets. Just like the film, this soundtrack creeps under your skin and leaves you hanging in nervous anticipation. Stunning.....
Experimental, Plunderphonics, Noise, Glitch, Sampling, Electronic, TV Pow, DIY, Staalplaat; DVD - Ex Used condition
Anchortronic is a Time's Up audio project in cooperation with the music label Staalplaat. It is dedicated to experimental electronic music, in particular the process oriented techniques which in their attitude and technique imply and even demand a radical DIY aesthetic. Sampling, plunderphonics, clicks and cuts, generative sound from self-written applications - keywords and techniques that paraphrase the expressions of a global development, yet in no way set boundaries or categorise. They have in common an attitude that requires the adjective "punk" - without the prefix "cyber" or the postfix "is (not) dead." They are prepared to experiment, to take on ideas unconditionally and as such and to work towards their implementation in spite of, or even because of the fact that in the midst of the process, a new idea can radically alter the course of development, even turn it around. This attitude acts as a negation or as a (distorted) overdrive of established mainstream culture. Individual research and experiments are primal; results appear secondary. Product - often selfburnt CDRs - is distributed through independent or self created labels - mainly to document a momentary state or to include others in the process. The network(s) are close despite their globality, the trade or exchange is real. Exchange is one of Time's Up's core activities. The networking with people of similar interests, effects ongoing or planned wors, leads to concrete collaborations - overlaps experienced as enrichness.
