In the 'Sex Pistols File' photographer Ray Stevenson brings together several hundred images from the group's early days. He covers several key moments from the band's history; its formation by Malcolm McClaren in 1975, the addition of Sid Vicious on bass guitar, the debut of their first album up to to the break-up and Sid's death in New York. The book was originally indended to be titled 'The Sex Pistols Scrapbook' but had to be renamed after Malcolm McLaren threatened to Sue for Stevenson's use of the colour yellow.
