BLOODLUST; DVD
DVD (1992), New
Three vampires wander the streets of Melbourne killing, screwing and taking drugs. They decide to carry out a heist, stealing three million and attracting the attention of various psychotics, who chase them through a blood spattered odyssey into the Melbourne underground. Think of early Peter Jackson ('Bad Taste') but even more inept and downright crazy. It's cheap, off-kilter exploitation involving buckets of ultra-violence, soft-core sex and maniac dialogues. The extras are fantastic. This movie has one of the best trailers you will ever see on a low budget horror film. In the US, a VHS tape bootlegger used to sell NTSC copies of this at horror shows in Chicago, right after this came out on tape in PAL. The dealer ran a trailer of this on a TV he had on his table. Apparently he sold out a whole box of tapes of 'Bloodlust' within minutes of the show opening, based just on the trailer.

ABC'S OF DEATH 2; DVD
2 x DVD (2014), New
Like the first film, the sequel is divided into 26 individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death. The varieties of death range from accidents to murders. The movie begins with a creepy stop-motion storybook that opens showing children doing a variety of fun activities that end up being very deadly (i.e. a jump rope slices a girl in half, children playing ball with a boy's head and a girl on a swing made from a boy's intestines). Throughout the film, a teacher with a skeleton face presents the titles to all the segments, with each of the segments ending and beginning with a focus on, or a fade into, the color black.
Here is an example: T is for Torture Porn (Jen and Sylvia Soska)
Yumi is being filmed by a group of misogynistic and abusive filmmakers. The men strip her down and prepare to film her, when one of them spots what they think is a penis. Yumi then reveals that she has tentacles where her clitoris should be and proceeds to kill the filmmakers.
Rated R: High impact horror themes, violence, sexual violence and nudity
ABC'S OF DEATH; DVD
DVD (2012), New
This totally wonderful comedy/horror anthology film is divided into 26 individual chapters, each envisioned by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death. The varieties of death range from accidents to murders. The movie begins showing a close up of a funnel with blood pouring ominously from it. The blood proceeds to fill up various rooms inside of a house before filling up the interior of a small room containing children's letter blocks. The room floods as the blocks float to the top spelling out the title. Throughout the film, the blocks spell out the titles to all the segments with each of the segments ending and beginning with a focus on, or a fade into, the color red.
*Here is a hilarious example: F is for Fart (Noboru Iguchi)
School girl Yoshie is obsessed with her teacher Miss Yumi. One day while outside, a deadly gas breaks forth from the ground and kills anyone who inhales it. Yoshie and Yumi escape into a building where the former wishes to smell the latter's farts instead of the gas. Yumi farts in Yoshie's face and she is transported to a gas-filled dimension where she and Yumi make out.
Rated R: High impact sexual themes, violence and nudity
NIGHTMARES IN RED, WHITE AND BLUE; DVD
DVD (2009), New
Nightmares in Red, White and Blue: The Evolution of the American Horror Film is a feature-length documentary based on the book of the same name by Joseph Maddrey. It examines the idea that horror films reflect the times and places in which they are made -- illustrating how classic monster movies exploited the anxieties of war-time generations, and how more savage modern horror films stem from the fallout of America's counterculture movement and the subsequent rise of increasingly conservative political forces. At the same time, the documentary explores the timeless, universal appeal of horror movies. In-depth interviews with many of the nation's greatest horror filmmakers reveal that the appeal of the genre is rooted not only in timely fears but in the spirit of rebellion -- a spirit that consistently defines American life, as well as many of its best horror filmmakers. Features exclusive interviews with legendary auteurs like John Carpenter, George A. Romero, Joe Dante, Larry Cohen, and Roger Corman, as well as film historian John Kenneth Muir and Fangoria editor Tony Timpone. Their observations are illustrated with clips from more than 150 films -- ranging from the classic Universal monster movies to the psychological horrors of film noir, from groundbreaking films like Night of the Living Dead, Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist and Jaws to contemporary slasher movies, Torture Porn and beyond. In short, it is the most comprehensive documentary on America's most durable and prolific film genre.

ENDLESS SMILE – Ten To Hope CD
Limited Edition CD, (1996)
Guitar-based experimental noise/drone band from Sweden. A noisy release from this Swedish group that comes in a standard clear tray jewel case with a tissue paper-like front card and a full color two sided tray card. Liner notes are on the back. Limited to 500 copies.
This is quite a brilliant release. 5 tracks in just over an hour. Hi frequency, psychedelic, bright swirling noise from this Swedish 5 piece. Traditional instruments (Guitar, Hurdy Gurdy, Bass, Drum machine etc) are manipulated and compressed into oblivion. This is real 'wall of noise' music. Like 'My Bloody Valentine' with the songs stripped away, leaving just the luscious blanket of sweet noise in the room. Highly enjoyable. limited to 500 copies on Swedish 'Releasing Eskimo' label.
TERRORIZER; Enamel pin by 'Grimoire'
Enamel pin badge, New in original packaging
This long sold out enamel pin badge "Terrorizer" is by New Zealand artist Hayden Burgess aka 'Grimoire'.
The pin depicts an ugly monster with horrible teeth and its brain exposed (and even a dotted 'cut here' style line), wearing a black and red cloak. One might suggest he could be a man of the cloth gone mad? He has his hands firmly around his lady victim's neck (who is also wearing a large crucifix on her top), and he is 'zapping' her with his eyes....red beams directed straight into her brain, which is also exposed, possibly as a result of the eye zapping? She also looks very horrible and 'zombie-like'. This is seriously cool.
In the words of the late great Roky Erickson -"Creature with the atom brain, Why is he acting so strange, Do you think he's one of them?" I definitely think Roky was onto something there.......
