MIKA VAINIO: Kilo; Double Vinyl LP (2013)

$155.00
Rare, Noise, Experimental, Pan Sonic, Electronic, Industrial, Techno; 180 gr double vinyl housed in gatefold sleeve - Ex Used condition Kilo, the title of Vainio's 2013 album, is a very appropriate metaphor for the images of gravity, slowness and weight that the music presented here summons. The track titles themselves follow suit, citing themes of decaying industry interspersed with nautical references: 'Rust', 'Wreck', 'Docks', 'Cranes', 'Cargo'. In keeping with this imagery, the music possesses a slow, lumbering rhythmic base, much like the steady forward motion of a freighter against a storm of harsh elements, and calmer moments of dusky, decaying sonics alternate with more ferocious outbursts of noise and power electronics while the pulse pushes on.  180 gr double vinyl housed in gatefold sleeve.

Roman Torment / Feed The Dragon: The Gift Of Grief / Bromide Romance; Vinyl LP (2006)

$40.00
Experimental, Noise, Harsh, Power Electronics; Vinyl LP and Insert - EX Used condition Roman Torment present here with a side-long blasterpiece dubbed "The Gift of Grief". Total non-stop in-the-red wall of high-wired electronics geared to explode synapses. Witscher and Pacewicz keep all hands/feet/whatevers to the metal for the full twentyish minutes and spew out a dizzying juggernaut of blindingly fast, brutal, and surely harsh flat-out fucking noise. Totally worth the possibility of getting evicted over. Buckle up or down as you see fit.  Feed the Dragon's side "Bromide Romance" is a mixed bag of junky electronics, UFO-transmitted soundwaves, buzzing matrices, robotic splurge and a whole lot else strewn methodically throughout the slow-evolving piece.

BREATHING PROBLEM: Bed of sex, Pit of tar; Double Vinyl LP (2016)

$40.00
Industrial, Noise, Experimental, Power Electronics, Dark Ambient; Double Gatefold Vinyl LP - Ex Used condition Breathing Problem, which consists of Rusty Kelley and Emelia McKay, have created an album called “Bed of Sex, Pit of Tar” that is another example of why Austin’s noise/experimental scene is a force to be reckoned with.  “Bed of Sex” is a very heavy album to listen to. It’s often unsettling, which is exactly what it sets out to be. The album works best at setting a mood, sucking listeners into its heavy atmosphere for the entire 59 minutes. It evokes the image of a city slowly being destroyed in a way that’s tragic, but impossible not to watch. The last few songs show the aftermath of the destruction, and the album’s final track acts as the credits to the spectacle.

CONTREPOISON…Until Next Morning; Vinyl LP (2010)

$35.00
Experimental, Electronic, Industrial, Synth, Dark; Vinyl EP (2010) Ex Used condition Contrepoison is the solo project of Pierre-Marc Tremblay, a young Canadian musician who’s been also involved in other extreme bands in the last years. This 4-track EP shows the darkest and most anguished side of the human feeling, where drum machines sound like heartbeats and synthesizers are as liquid as tears. Deep, somber vocals filled with sorrow and anger cap it all.

EVERY EVERYTHING: The music, Life & Times of Grant Hart; DVD

$30.00
Grant Hart, Husker Du, Biography, Documentary, Music, Hardcore; DVD (2013) Writing in City Pages, Reed Fischer said, "In spite of the myriad challenges of his personal and professional life -- the fire, the death of family members, his band's epic dissolution, drug addiction, and coming to terms with his sexual orientation -- Hart comes off as a wiser man for all of it. Hearing the way he describes his close emotional friendship with William S Burroughs is worth the price of admission on its own. Sure, there are numerous bits about Mr. Mould and Mr. Norton too, and they're mostly told with fondness for the fruit before it became poisoned. Hart's slow and deliberate retellings of his past convey an inner strength that hints at why Bechard wanted to spend so much time with him. Capping the tale with the beginnings of Hart's epic interpretation of John Milton's Paradise Lost, The Argument -- Chris Strouth has a lot more to say about the album here -- the story rests itself in the near-present at a high point in Hart's storied career. Not every stone was turned over in this tale, but they all at least got a firm jostling."

HIPPIE HIPPIE SHAKE: Richard Neville (OZ magazine); Paperback Book (1996)

$20.00
OZ Magazine, Hippie, Counterculture, Documentary, Biography, 60's, Drugs, Underground Culture; Paperback Book (376 pages) - VG Used Condition He wanted to change the world, and all he had was a little magazine...  As publisher of Oz, the hippies' handbook and monument to psychedelia, Richard Neville was at the center of the 1960s cyclone of idealists, rock musicians, radicals, artist hustlers and high society. In Hippie Hippie Shake Richard Neville demythologises the 1960s in a highly amusing, colorful and provocative memoir of the times. It was the dawning of the Age of Aquarius... and then the hash hit the fan.

APOLLO 11: The first men on the moon; Super 8 Film Reel

$40.00
Super 8, 8mm, Reel To Reel, Documentary, Film, Collectable; Super8 Film Reel in Good Used Condition Have a front row seat at one of the greatest human achievements as you relive the events of July 1969. This 8mm film records the entire event from the astronauts (Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins) making their way to the launch-pad, blast off, journey to the Moon and the landing on the surface to the return to Earth and welcome from President Nixon. The box remains strong, intact and in excellent condition. There is slight surface wear and remnants of the original adhesive tape but this is hardly noticeable. The design of the landing module and two astronauts on the Moon surface still retains the original unfaded colouring. The film on a grey plastic reel appears to be in good condition. Please be aware we have been unable to view the film so do not know if it is colour or with sound. A great item for anyone interested in NASA or space, a collector of home movies or as an item in a 1960's themed display. Date: c.1969 Maker: Walton Films Made in ? Dimensions (Box): 13cm x 13cm x 1.5cm
