A great deal of mysteries revolve around the historical figure of Count Alessandro di Cagliostro (1743-1795); from his questioned identity as a charlatan called Joseph Balsam (or is it Giuseppe Balsamo?), to the unknown information about the “Egyptian Rites” Freemasonry (and Freemasonry in general) and the rituals it is said to include which are inspired by the ancient Egyptian culture. This album seems to be a tribute to his colorful life in the form of dark ambient with noise, narrated samples and some folk music; just the kind of album you’d want to research about. The album seems like a journey through Cagliostro’s life (or is it his attempt for an afterlife?) There is much to investigate here, and the deeper you go the less you’ll understand. It’s hard to find information about this act, since it’s an unknown debut album, so all I can say is that someone called Stephan V. Friedman wrote the lyrics and music and that there is a limited amount of copies.

"Japanoise of Death II" is a compilation of the most famous and best Experimental-Noise artists from the "early generation", as well as a fine selection of outstanding new artists. all songs are new and unreleased and especially recorded for this release!

The beauty in this insane bowl of VHS mashed potatoes is how, after 72 minutes, everything feels like it is exactly in the right place, and what a terrible terrible place that turns out to be. What makes EIT's TGS great is that it clearly relishes in the nihilist fringe of the culture-jammers. Nihilism, in these troubled, modern times, can be a wonderful thing and that's what we have here. That it makes a fool out of the leaders and followers behind "Satanic Panic" type movements/media is just gravy. Let The Great Satan wash over you.......

Two females seem to suffer from past traumas. Both commit blood-filled suicides with way more imaginary/graphic ways than just shotgun-to-mouth. There is no dialogs at all, porn-movie-like music plays on background while the girls are getting cut and so on. If you like blood, more blood, toothbrush, a fork, and japan shock, this is a must see. Low-grade, Japanese obscurity Women's Flesh: My Red Guts consists of two shot-on-video segments depicting grueling scenes of graphic self-mutilation, all designed to appear as gut-churningly real as possible: in the first, a woman chews off one of her fingers and chokes herself to death with a scarf; the woman in part two stabs herself in the leg with a fork, cuts open her belly, chows down on her guts, slices off her tongue, and eventually kills herself by thrusting the fork into her forehead. There's no plot to speak of and hardly any dialogue—just plenty of extremely bloody imagery designed to appease fans of ultra-violent, transgressive pseudo-snuff. This super-sick effort certainly has the right look and feel to it

The SubGeniuses, followers of a satiric pseudo-religion, worship J. R. ``Bob'' Dobbs, the grinning, pipe-smoking salesman who, according to their legend, performs miracles, has sex with a four-ton giant slug and preaches a doctrine of ``slack'' (not being too disciplined). The myths of the SubGenii generally provide a platform for irreverent comment on government and religion. But this ragged collection of stories, all based on ``church'' lore, is devoid of literary merit. Many entries read as if they were stream-of-consciousness exercises assigned to male adolescents on LSD. Laser guns, spaceships, drugs, scantily clad women (``girls'') and penises (sometimes multiple or gigantic) are the dominant images. Time travel, conspiracy theories and flashing lights also figure prominently. Recommended for hardcore SubGeniuses only.

It is based on Aldous Huxley's painstakingly researched religious history of the famous Loudun exorcisms during the time of Richelieu. Two years before 'The Exorcist' hits the screen, Ken Russell puts the Catholic Church in the spotlight by filming one of the most disturbing films of all times. Except from being a sheer technical and aesthetic masterpiece, 'The Devils' provokes as a film with its relentless sense of anarchy. Religious hysteria and illusions, the horror of human arrogance and depravity and the love that turns to cherishing that turns to hatred. It's hard to put it in words, one must simply watch it to understand the simple splendor of this film. This film was met with great controversy and opposition due to its contents and depictions of blasphemy. Cited by director Alex Cox and critic Mark Kermode as one of the ten greatest achievements in cinema of all time. This film is for open-minded viewers only...

In "Moonbird," two brothers prowl their backyard by night, seeking to capture the shy moonbird. Two sisters spend an summer afternoon at the seashore, playing games and speculating about what the future may hold for them in "Windy Day." The upbeat "People, People, People" (1975) examines the history of human habitation in North America, from 17,760 B.C. to A.D. 1976. Benny Carter's genially propulsive score helps the filmmakers present even unpleasant aspects of history with imagination and good humor. In "Enter Life" (1981), carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen atoms assemble to form the molecules essential to all life in a series of chemical reactions that suggest a microcosmic dance. Their debut CD Bloody Tourist reflected this range, traversing ambient, ethnic, rock, funk and industrial styles. Seen by some critics as a swipe against the tasteful world music fad gripping the chill out rooms and tofu burger bars, Bloody Tourist set the blueprint for the band's lack of preciousness regarding genre "swing and mesh". Released on legendary "Extreme' Label, this release also features David Brown (Candlesnuffer).

Francis Plagne's second self titled release presents strange and visual evocations of different places, and the variety of different spaces that shift throughout its 91 minutes. There are claustrophobic spaces, and wide-open vistas conjured through the use of field recordings. Francis Plagne is like looking out the window of a bus as the scenery unfolds. It’s easy to attach metaphors to his sprawling work, but it’s bewildering to discern exactly where Francis is coming from, probably because he’s coming from everywhere at once. You could say it’s a schizophrenic musical identity, but I’d say it’s really just glee and enthusiasm that drive it all. It’s a gleeful act of appropriation, but with such a unique spin on music, it’s hard to label it as merely that. Francis Plagne is forward thinking in its take on the notion of music being everywhere, if you just listen, in the streets, your house, and the park. Francis Plagne is everywhere and everything ; it’s cluttered, but sounds purposefully this way. The title of the track ‘A Chance Exposure To A Distant Rumbling’ reflects one of Francis’ chief aims; random moments in sound coming together all in one place, creating spaces, letting songs form beneath and between their folds. It’s an act of cutting and pasting, a monumental process of trial and error, considering just how many sounds make up his opaque pieces.
