TAKASHI NEMOTO: Monster Men Bureiko Lullaby; Paperback

$185.00
TAKASHI NEMOTO: Monster Men Bureiko Lullaby; Paperback 194 pages Controversial/Underground/Japanese/Comic/Manga/Obscene, Paperback - RARE! If you can't tell from the cover and synopsis, the book is fairly obscene. The humor is sub-scatological. The drawing style is brutally ugly. But it is an incredibly unique and entertaining work that is well worth your time. Nothing escapes Nemoto's scathing, misanthropic satire here, from radiation victims to hyper-masculinity - even the manga industry itself gets torn apart.  This is an absolute must for any lover of underground and alternative comics, or outsider art in general. You will have never read anything like it.  A seminal work of manga from the mid-1980s, Monster Men Bureiko Lullaby is a Candide-esque tale--if you can picture Candide as a mutated sperm brought to life by radioactivity. Unremittingly explicit, direct, honest and insightful while simultaneously beautiful and grotesque.  Due to his unapologetically squalid subject matter, surreal drawing style and pessimistic, satirical stance, Nemoto has long been a controversial figure in Japan.

INDEX Peter Sotos (1998); Paperback

$75.00
INDEX Peter Sotos (1998); Paperback Large format paperback - Used, (Ex) Sotos is one of a kind and his shocking and confrontational work is a sexual ground zero; he writes the most disturbing, provocative material (this book, as well as his other ones - TOTAL ABUSE, SPECIAL, and LAZY) about sex and pornography available today.  As precise and articulate as he is (possibly) insane, Sotos may well be the De Sade or Bataille for the 21st century.

ONESTO ‘DIESEL’ (Graffiti) 2008 Brazil; Hardcover (Rare as shit!)

$55.00
ONESTO DIESEL (Graffiti) 2008 Brazil; Hardcover (Rare as shit!) 150 pages (Brazil) 1st Edition Graffiti/Street Art/Hip Hop/Culture Hardcover, Used (Ex)

The artist known as Onesto is a key player in Brazilian graffiti history. Influenced by hip hop movies from the 80's and comic books, at an early age it was clear for him how to express himself: by painting. As his work grew, he became known all over the world and was invited to a number of museums exhibitions and art events.  His work captures the essence of the street lifestyle in Brazil, and as an artist he always has something to say. Combining his love for the fantasy and the mystic aspects of drawing with his passion for the streets, it is easy to understand why Onesto occupies such an important space on Brazilian graffiti history, that´s still being written.
