Founded by creative heads Jackie Brutsche and drummer Chris Rosales, The Jackets have been joined over the years by several bassists and currently Omar Fra. Alongside their intense live presence, The Jackets have released five albums and several singles and multiple iconic music videos.

Often referred to as the ultimate book on the subject; J-Taro Sugisaku and Takeshi Uechi’s ’Pinky Violence – Toei’s Bad Girl Films’. Generally the genre is also considered to include Teruo Ishii’s Tokugawa/Torture epics from the late 60’s, which put the genre on the world map.
Pinky Violence flourished for the next 10 years and came to its end in the late 70’s.

It is a study of the psychology of guilt, often paired in analysis with Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart". In both, a murderer carefully conceals his crime and believes himself unassailable, but eventually breaks down and reveals himself, impelled by a nagging reminder of his guilt.
