SNUFF PUPPETS Nyet Nyet’s Picnic; DVD

Theatre/Art/Indigenous DVD, Used

Bunyips are creatures from Australian Indigenous mythology seen as servers of important warning from the land. They live in creeks, riverbeds, waterholes and swamps, emerging to terrify and sometimes devour animals and humans. In the 1880’s bunyip sightings were reported in the Australian press and lonely, isolated white settlers/invaders wondered and worried about the existence of these native Australian monsters.  The Snuff Puppets are honoured to co-present Nyet Nyet’s Picnic with a team of Indigenous artists. The show features over a dozen huge puppets and original live music with the world of bunyips comes to life through humour, terror and fun. The show premiered on the banks of the Yarra River as the cultural highlight of the City of Melbourne’s Reconciliation Week in 2005. This DVD is as rare as shit, and here is an example of the Snuff Puppets if you are not already a fan: https://youtu.be/CnbxO7P7Xnk

CHOPPERTOWN The Sinners (Custom Motorcycle Culture Documentary); DVD

$45.00
CHOPPERTOWN The Sinners (Custom Motorcycle Culture Documentary); DVD Kustom/Lowbrow/Culture/Choppers/Hotrods DVD + Booklet, New The award-winning movie that captured a moment in time like no other.  Choppertown is the world's first motorcycle documentary about the renowned hot rod and motorcycle club, the Sinners. Modern day greasers, the Sinners are all about the old school. None of them is old enough to have experienced the hot rod heydays of the '50s and '60s, but still they live on the edge of society chopping cars and bikes and searching for vintage parts to make their Rat Rods, Trumps, Mercs, and Bobbers into rolling works of art.  Featuring: Kutty Noteboom, Rico Fodrey, James Intveld, Jason Jessee, Cole Foster and the rest of the Sinners. "Forget the so-called 'reality' chopper shows on TV. This is the real thing." ~Cycle World "Quite simply the best documentary ever made about custom bikes." ~BSH Magazine

THE JESUS LIZARD; Club (2011) DVD

$28.00
THE JESUS LIZARD; Club (2011) DVD Live DVD (2011) Though it's impossible to properly convey just how ferocious a live band the Jesus Lizard are, particularly in smaller confines, Club does an admirable job capturing the quartet's first stateside show in more than ten years, in July 2009.  The band's original line-up touch upon every full-length and EP they released, demonstrating how strongly their songs, including torching versions of "Killer McHann" and "One Evening," stand up today. There's actually nothing dated or putridly nostalgic about this exercise; the Jesus Lizard are like an ageless, un-caged animal with scores to settle and points to prove, particularly since they went out rather unceremoniously in 1999 as a weakened, incomplete unit.  Yow proves to be a consistant menace, half-naked and threatening the audience in the midst of songs like "Mouthbreather," as he rolls over and through them like a possessed man caught in a whirlwind.  Club reveals much about their reunion tour – most notably that it felt like they'd never stopped playing together in the first place.

$45.00
Mondo, Shockumentary, Mixtape, Gore, Real Footage, Disturbing; Zine + 3 DVD-R set - New Mondo Mysterium is a monthly published U.S. zine showcasing marginalized mondo films (and the occasional shockumentary or other fellow traveler) that been somewhat neglected (which will mean they have never had a DVD release, or at least not the particular version) and are deserving of recognition for their contribution to the genre.  Each month, the zine comes with three curated DVD-R's of obscure and unreleased mondo films from the Mondo Mysterium collection archive, complete with essays about the selected films. The three DVD-R titles included with in Mondo Mysterium Vol 2 are the esoteric mondo film 'Il piacere e il mistero' (1964); one of the more obscure US shockumentaries, 'The Underbelly of America' (1998); and finally something extra special: 'Death Fest' (ca. 1996), a '90s homebrewed gore mixtape.
