Finally back in print! GOD's My Pal 7" is a genuine Australian rock & roll classic, an iconic slice of teen-punk from a band who dissolved only a bit over a year after the release of the record but has had a huge influence on Australian independent music for 37 years - both the band and record itself and the members' musical diaspora throughout the past three decades.
GOD were the Melbourne teenage quartet made up of Joel Silbersher, Tim Hemensley, Matty Whittle and Sean Greenway. They existed between the years 1986 - 1989 and released this 7" on the Au-go-go label, soon followed by the Rock Is Hell 12" EP and then by their sole full-length LP, For Lovers Only.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Sean Baxter; a man whose contribution to and support of underground music cannot be overstated.
This album was recorded at the only live show the band played in 2020, the last time we saw Sean. We love you Sean and you are sorely missed.
Drone, Doom, Ambient, Noise, Experimental, Full Of Hell; 12" 180g Vinyl (Limited Edition 150 copies) - New Sealed w/- TVISB sticker
Existential doom/drone/noise music from Melbourne (the void is so bleak) with (B side) remix by Dylan Walker from US grind/sludge/noise legends Full Of Hell. This is very limited and painfully heavy......
Limited edition 300 copies, Harsh, Banned, Disturbing, Noise, Electronic, Experimental, Power Electronics; Vinyl LP - Ex Used condition
Notorious split LP from Nicole 12 and Prurient complete with very disturbing wraparound printed card sleeve and lyric sheet. The Nicole 12 side is particularly harrowing, with monstrously mutated found tapes ala Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson put to spools of high end electronics and ferociously delivered lyrics exploring variously fucked mind states. The bleak ardour of the music barely relents, jamming a whole bunch of contradictory and ambiguous signals in a way that gives you little room to orientate yourself or make any definitive reading, forcing you back on your own preconceptions, prejudices and dark places. Terribly uneasy listening that demands a response way the hell beyond any comfortable binary notion of good/evil or right/wrong. So don’t put your brain to bed. Prurient side is a beauty, featuring a bunch of tracks segued together in a fog of low-grade feedback and immolating vocal form. Banned from sale on Discogs due to disturbing content.
Experimental, Noise, Electronic, Power Electronics, Limited Edition, Steve Albini, Peter Sotos; Vinyl LP - Ex Used condition
2009 release. Recorded in 1995 by Steve Albini and William Bennett in Chicago, Quality Time, marked the end of the mid-period Whitehouse with an album containing the original version of the notorious ''Just Like A Cunt'' featuring Philip Best on vocals, and the indescribably disturbing ''Baby.'' Also features the beautiful cover artwork by Trevor Brown.

Dark Ambient, Experimental, Ambient, Germany; Double Vinyl LP (2010) RARE! - Ex Used condition
Transcendent dark ambient from sunny Germany. The Incarnation of the Solar Architects makes me feel as though I am a human-shaped pile of ash and dust that is being blown into the æther by cosmic winds. You know, like in 'Altered States'.....
Synth, Noise, Experimental, Wolf Eyes, Nate Young; Limited Edition Vinyl LP (500 copies) - Ex Used condition
This split LP is, fittingly enough, a co-release between the CIP label and Vertonen's own CIP imprint. Demons is the all-synth-playing duo of Wolf Eyes man Nate Young and Steven Kenney of Isis and Werewolves, and their side comes in the form of a live recording of a Chicago show from earlier this year. The sounds are brutal but highly sculpted oscillator articulations very much in keeping with the Merzbow/Carlos Giffoni analogue material that was circulating a month or so back. It's a hybrid of ferocious noise assaults and sci-fi LFO experiments. Very nice indeed. Over on the flipside Vertonen pushes the volume levels upward for some grittier sounds, which flail about the place admirably until the whole thing settles down into a solid drone signal, which reluctantly ebbs out to a close.....
Experimental, Electronic, Noise, Nate Young, Wolf Eyes, Detroit, Industrial, Harsh; Vinyl LP (2008)
Nate Young airs two of his alter egos on this great split LP: Demons, featuring Steve Kenney, and Hatred, which combines Young once again with Kenney, but this time with the added presence of Spence Bryant. The Hatred side sounds like the motor on your turntable is continually breaking down, as if some perpetual Technics power-down effect was causing all manner of primitive pitch-sliding antics to go haywire on those squelchy synth oscillations. The Demons side is rather different from their ace No Fun album and instead sounds like some hiss covered live recording of a garage rock band buried underneath some rubble. You'd expect this to be pretty grotesque sounding, but it's all so much filthier than you're likely to have bargained for.
