ERIC COPELAND; Alien in a garbage dump
LP, 2008 (New)
Eric Copeland’s Alien In A Garbage Dump finds the Black Dice founder exploring an alternate side to his loop-based electronic psychedelia. Sonically this makes for an ideal companion piece to Black Dice’s wild and brilliant Repo album, but here there’s a slightly more wayward sensibility that situates the music is an unruly universe full of Ariel Pink-style pop fragments and noodling rabbit-hole plunges. For all its uncompromising, willfully disorientating qualities, this record occasionally makes a great deal of sense.
